Foundation launches Spanish-language website

The Georgia Public Policy Foundation has launched a Spanish-language website, as the Foundation expands its efforts to reach all Georgians. With over 1 million Hispanics calling Georgia home, compromising 10% of the state’s population, this website seeks to embrace the diverse voices of Georgia to help strengthen state policy.

“We invite Hispanics to join us in improving the lives of Georgians by promoting public policies that enhance economic opportunity and freedom,” said Camille Solberg, Policy Advancement Manager for the Georgia Public Policy Foundation. “Simply put, as we incorporate the input of diverse communities living in Georgia, we are ‘Changing Georgia Policy, Changing Georgians’ Lives.’ Whether it’s at churches, community groups or somewhere else, we are actively engaging Hispanics and Spanish-speaking Georgians to join us in tackling the issues all freedom-loving Georgians want, including a strong economy, choice in education, quality health care, affordable housing and a regulatory environment that advances small business growth.”

This website highlights the Georgia Promise Scholarship Act, a new law that will reshape the educational landscape of Georgia by providing families with more educational options. This program allows eligible families to apply scholarships funded by the state toward the education that best fits their child. As this new program is rolled out, the Foundation will work side-by-side with community leaders to make sure families are aware of this opportunity.

The effects of legislation know no language barrier, and the Georgia Public Policy Foundation is embracing the voices of Spanish-speaking Georgians to ensure all Georgians have equal access to information about the legislation that affects their everyday lives.
