Ray Padrón Joins Georgia Public Policy Foundation Board of Trustees
Atlanta — The Georgia Public Policy Foundation is pleased to announce that Ray Padrón, Managing Partner, President and Chief Operating Officer of Brightworth, an Atlanta-based wealth management company, has joined the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
“We’re excited that Ray has agreed to join the Board of Trustees of this uniquely Georgia-focused, free-market think tank,” said Rogers Wade, Board Chairman and past president of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation.
“Ray’s active involvement in improving Georgia’s business climate plus his profession as a wealth manager have shown him first-hand the economic impact of government regulations. He is forced to deal on a daily basis with the effects of burdensome mandates on hard-working Georgians, their legacies and their families.”
A Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner practitioner, Padrón serves on the boards of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement of Georgia and was part of the 2012-2013 initiative to create the first JA Finance Park/JA Biz Town opportunity. He has been named several times in Atlanta magazine’s list of Five Star Best in Client Satisfaction for Wealth Managers.
He completed the Investment Management Consultants Association’s Investment Analyst Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst, an Accredited Estate Planner, a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Chartered Financial Consultant.
Padrón, who graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, began his financial career with what is now PricewaterhouseCoopers, has worked for the Marriott Corporation as a Tax Manager, was Vice President of Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting for Finalco Group Inc. and Principal and Senior Vice President of Finance for Capital Associates Inc.
In 1988, Padrón created ARC Financial Services, a financial planning firm that focused on the unique needs of business owners. He later merged ARC Financial Services with Ronald Blue & Co. (RB & Co.), a national wealth advisory firm, eventually becoming the Vice President of Practice Areas and Chief Financial Officer at the RB & Co.’s national headquarters in Atlanta.
Padrón is an active member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a non-profit organization focused on bringing the private sector together with our government partners to apply best business practice solutions to its most difficult national security challenges, a past member of the board of directors of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia, and a past chairman and current board member of an international faith-based ministry.
Padrón and his wife, Sharon, have four grown children and are active members at Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, Ga.
