Hayley McCloud has joined the staff of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation as External Affairs Manager.
McCloud comes to the Foundation from the Office of the Georgia Secretary of State, where she had worked since July 2019, most recently as Legislative Director. Her previous positions include Special Projects Coordinator at the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia; Senior Manager of State Affairs for the American College of Rheumatology, Political Field Representative for the Georgia Association of REALTORS®; and Legislative Correspondent/Field Representative for (then) U.S. Rep. Tom Price of Georgia.
“We’re excited to have Hayley as part of the team,” said Kyle Wingfield, President and CEO of the Foundation. “Her knowledge of the state, understanding of the Foundation’s policy initiatives and energy and enthusiasm are the ideal combination to carry our message of free markets and limited government across Georgia.”
“The Foundation has gained its credibility by sharing sound policy ideas with Georgia’s elected officials,” Wingfield added. “Having Hayley on board, dedicated to sharing those ideas with Georgia citizens, spreads our message at another level. By taking the time to visit towns across the state, we win the hearts and minds that can turn those policy ideas into policymaker action. In other words, familiarity breeds consent.”
A Cherokee County resident, McCloud is a graduate of Kennesaw State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree, with a major in political science, and a master’s in public administration.
